Metal halide perovskite solar cell is a kind of perovskite type organometallic halide semiconductor as a light absorbing material solar cell.It belongs to the third generation of new high-efficiency solar cells, also known as "new concept solar cells."Because of its high photoelectric conversion efficiency and good stability, it has received widespread attention in the field of photovoltaic.
At present, this new solar cell has achieved a photoelectric conversion efficiency of up to 26.1%, which is comparable to the efficiency of single crystal silicon cells.However, the poor long-term working stability poses a serious challenge to the commercialization of perovskite photovoltaic technology.Each functional layer in the device and its interface are closely related to the long-term stability of the battery.Among them, the buried interface of formal n-i-p cells is essential for the preparation of efficient and stable perovskite solar cells.
Therefore, Chen Jiangzhao and Yi Jianhong team developed a multi-tooth ligand enhanced chelation strategy to improve the stability of buried interface by managing interface defects and stresses.They modified the buried interface with phosphonate, and reduced the residual tensile stress at the interface, promoted perovskite crystallization and lowered the interface energy barrier affecting battery performance.The multi-toothed ligand regulation strategy can be applied to different perovskite components and has good universality.Due to the significant reduction of non-radiative recombination and significantly improved interface contact, phosphonate modified devices achieved a power conversion efficiency of 24.63%, one of the highest reported efficiencies in air environment preparation devices.
