"Caring for the next generation" is a noble and serious topic, and the elderly should care for the next generation not with "utility", but "public interest"."Caring for the next generation" can be an integral part of our meaningful old age, a win-win outcome for both individuals and society.However, it is worth pondering how we, the elderly, can undertake this glorious mission.I think there are many aspects to caring for the next generation.For example, direct communication with the next generation through different ways is what we often call "sitting under a tree and telling young people stories about the past"; summarizing decades of life experience, especially those that the next generation has not experienced.The article "Three Old Men Recall the College Scholastic Ability Test" only introduced the complex feelings of our three poor families when they faced entering college, and did not show the "painful and happy" life inspirational experience that everyone experienced.The motivations I understand are those that take a positive attitude to face countless setbacks, difficulties and pain in the course of life.I admire the joy and dignity that inspiration brings to ordinary people.
College seniors care about the next generation relative to some college-age "thought-political educators" have unique advantages.As the saying goes, the elderly walk more roads than the young people walk, which is a metaphor for the rich experience of our elders.For example, after my retirement, in addition to continuing to do a little professional teaching and scientific research work, I also participated in some activities related to caring for the next generation of work.The work involved two main types of work: blogging on the global Chinese science community Science Network, summarizing decades of university education and scientific research experience and awareness of certain social hotspots.Currently, more than 470 blog posts have been published, most of which are related to university education and scientific research, of which more than 200 are selected under the title of "University Governance", "Scientific Research", and "Social Life".The second is scientific and educational public service reports.I have spent many years visiting famous universities at home and abroad to experience the university governance experience and teaching and scientific research style of some famous universities and universities with a long history.For more than 10 years, these reports have reported more than 40 times both inside and outside the school, received good social benefits, and made a small contribution to the healthy growth of the next generation.To this end, I have received the "Advanced Individual" of the retired cadres of the school, "Advanced Individual" of Hubei University Senior Citizens Association and "Advanced Individual of Hubei Old Professors Association".
