Springer Nature and Jilin University signed an agreement on September 5 to publish a series of Jilin University Archaeological Studies, which will be published in the form of Open Access (OA), free of charge for readers around the world.
This is Springer Nature's first school-level open access book strategic cooperation in China, and the two sides agreed to continue to explore further cooperation in the field of open access publishing under this strategic cooperation framework.
According to the agreement, Jilin University's Archaeological Research Series will be published by Springer Nature's Springer without an end date, and Jilin University will continue to publish high-quality and influential research results in East Asia.At present, the first batch of four books in the series have been peer-reviewed.As the first book in the series, "Archaeological Research on Culture in Northeast China from the Xia to the Warring States Period" is expected to be published in March 2024 by Professor Zhao Binfu, Dean of Jilin University's School of Archaeology.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Dr. Niels Peter Thomas, President of Springer Nature Group Greater China and President of Global Books, said that for more than 20 years, Springer Nature has been leading the transformation of Open Access."We are pleased to join hands with Jilin University to help disseminate Jilin University's latest research in this prestigious subject, further promote the development of the subject, and promote cooperation and cultural exchanges."
