From the same day, they are officially open to Chinese and foreign users for reservation.
The five experimental stations have passed the performance process test in the first batch in 2021. They are: very low temperature solid-state quantum computing (strong magnetic field) experimental station, very low temperature solid-state quantum computing (very weak field) experimental station, low temperature in-situ scanning tunnel angle resolved photoelectron spectroscopy measurement experimental station, micro nano processing platform and process support platform.
If global users need to use the comprehensive extreme condition experimental device to carry out the experiment, they need to apply for the subject first, submit the application by logging in to the major science and technology infrastructure sharing service platform of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and submit the experimental application once or more according to the experimental machine hours applied for after being uniformly reviewed and approved by experts.
The comprehensive extreme condition experimental device will open two rounds of general subject applications in 2022, and the machine time validity is one year. Now it is open to all users to solicit the first round of general subject applications in 2022. This round of applications will start on January 20 and end on February 28, 2022.
It is understood that the construction legal person unit of the comprehensive extreme condition experimental device project is the Institute of physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the co construction unit is Jilin University. According to the research direction, it is divided into four scientific experimental systems, including the physical property characterization system, quantum state regulation system, ultrafast condition physical property research system built in Beijing, and the high temperature and high pressure large volume material research system built in Jilin. These experimental systems are interrelated, supported and integrated, providing fully functional and internationally advanced experimental conditions for in-depth material science research under extreme conditions.
The large scientific device (Beijing part) started construction in Huairou comprehensive national science center in Beijing in September 2017. As an international advanced user experimental device integrating extreme conditions such as ultra-high pressure, extremely low temperature, strong magnetic field and ultrafast light field, it will be used to expand the research space of material science and promote the discovery of new states, phenomena and laws, It is expected to achieve world-class research results in the discovery of new high-temperature superconductors, breakthroughs in unconventional superconducting mechanism, breakthroughs in core technologies of quantum regulation and ultrafast regulation of physical properties.
