"China has to shoulder the medical and health task of 1.4 billion population aging rapidly. Senior practice nurses with certain prescription rights have developed rapidly in foreign countries, which has played a significant role in promoting community health care and meeting the needs of elderly care. The problem of aging is becoming more and more serious in our country. In the face of the increasing health needs of the people, it is an urgent reform task to deeply tap the potential of nurses and deeply reflect their professional value.

"In 2020, the total number of nurses in China will reach 4.7 million, and the proportion of nurses per thousand population will be 3.35. However, this data is still far below the level of developed countries in Europe and the United States. The imbalance and insufficiency of nursing development are prominent." At the 10th National Congress of the Chinese Association for science and technology, Jiang Yan was elected a member of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese Association for science and technology.
