As Google's "Suzuki" and China's "nine chapters" have achieved "quantum superiority", quantum computing can effectively solve the problems of large number factorization and big data search, thus posing a great threat to the security of classical cryptographic algorithms. There are two main mechanisms to resist the threat of quantum computing and realize information security: one is quantum cryptography, such as quantum key distribution (QKD) with information theory security; The second is post quantum cryptography (PQC), such as lattice cryptography. At present, the known quantum computing algorithms can not be solved effectively.
The researchers adopt a new security authentication scheme based on post quantum public key algorithm and PKI structure to authenticate the classical QKD channel. As long as the PQC algorithm is secure in the authentication process, even if the PQC is cracked after the authentication, the security of QKD key will not be affected, and the security of PQC can guarantee this. The application of PQC technology in QKD network equipment authentication is verified by experiments, which greatly improves the operability and efficiency of QKD authentication process.
In this research work, two seemingly completely different technologies are integrated for the first time, and the technical advantages are complementary. PQC is used to solve the key problem of QKD preset key, while QKD makes up for the long-term security problem of PQC to be verified. The combination of the two technologies ultimately ensures the security of the network system. This achievement provides an effective way to solve the key problem of preset key, which will greatly promote and promote the application prospect of QKD.
