The annual income of an excellent doctoral student is definitely more than the annual income of most students who go to work after graduation. It is estimated that the income of doctoral students should be many times the lowest income in the city where the university is located. Many people used to envy the foreign doctoral students for their full scholarship treatment. They must know that those incomes are also lower than the minimum income level of local cities. Their rent and living expenses are even higher.

Now the level of domestic research hardware, software and tutor is not the same. Doctoral students are much easier to make innovation than ever before. Now the state is vigorously promoting the construction of double first-class universities. Domestic universities have purchased a large number of high-tech experimental equipment in recent years. Last year I invited several foreign professors to communicate with Zhongnan University. When they saw the equipment of my college, they were all impressed and praised. I have just returned to China for two years, and the doctoral students of the project group can basically complete most of the experiments in the project group, and other large-scale equipment can be completed in the academic center of the University. It can be said that they can finish all the experiments without leaving South Central University. In addition, I envy the other professors' research group, which is equipped with complete equipment and equipment. When I was doing research at the University of wollongon, I needed to take a train to do experiments at the University of New South Wales. As for the academic level of university professors, many people think that the "level" of foreign professors is higher than that of domestic professors. In fact, there are also many foreign professors who are famous for their academic papers in a year. To solve this problem, the University of Sydney has issued policies that have not published an academic paper for three consecutive years without reason to dismiss. If they don't have too many people at University, how can they be forced to introduce such extreme policies. On the contrary, a large number of young teachers with strong strength have been introduced in domestic universities in recent years. I have a number of young people, all of them are energetic, most of them are doing distinctive research work. Therefore, it is relatively easy for the doctoral students in domestic universities to do scientific research. As long as they spend time and move their brains, their academic achievements can be more and better than those of any other time. On the contrary, many doctoral students in developed countries abroad can not find suitable jobs in China because of the few achievements in the doctoral stage. I know a young teacher. He has completed his undergraduate and doctoral programs in Central South University after he has been in the post doctoral program. He has successfully obtained the national excellent youth fund after he left the post doctoral station for two years.

Why do some PhD students need to read dozens of documents a day? Why can't some PhD students graduate? I think that the phenomenon is individual, and it is closely related to whether the doctoral students study seriously or not. The doctoral dissertation requires 120 to 180 papers. I asked my doctoral students to read and complete 10 papers every three weeks in the first academic year of their first year and then send them to me by email, which means they can read less than 0.5 papers a day. If they usually insist on reading literature, how can they be under pressure to read dozens of documents a day? As for the doctoral thesis, it is actually to sort out the literature, experimental scheme, experimental results, and the thinking and discussion of the results. If they study and do experiments in the laboratory every day, it is difficult for them to graduate smoothly. If the tutor has arranged the task, it is possible for doctoral students to not read the literature, do not do experiments, do not organize the data, and temporarily hold the Buddha's feet when they are about to graduate. It is also possible to read dozens of documents a day.
